It is the last celebration of the bullfighting calendar of Valencia.

What bullfight is celebratedon the Valencian Community Day? 

On October 9 a steer-bullfight is celebrated in the Bullring of Valencia. Simón Casas's company sets up a cartel with a fighting-bull ranch of guarantees and a list of outstanding steer-bullfighters in the season, which usually includes a Valencian one.

In 2019, in addition, a previous steer-bullfight without picadors was held, which demonstrates the company's strong commitment to the future of bullfighting.

It is the last opportunity of the year to enjoy bullfighting art in the Valencian bullring, which closes until Fallas.

When is July Fair of Valencia held? 

July Fair is celebrated by the Day of San Jaime, that is, July .

Its origin is found in the late eighteenth century and emerged as a way to attract tourists to the city of Valencia in the summer. It is the most important festivity after the Fallas and an important part of it are the concerts, the Contest of Bands of Music, the fireworks and the famous Battle of the Flowers.

Bulls, as an essential part of all important fairs, have a leading role at the end of July in the capital of Turia river.

How many bullfights are celebrated? 

Simón Casas Productions, managing company of the Bullring of Valencia, presents every year complete posters for July Fair. They are usually a total of four bullfights, a steer-bullfight and three bullfights, and bring together the winners of the season, bullfighters of the land and emerging youth.

It is also held previously, and with the collaboration of the Deputationof Valencia, the Bullfighting School Contest; a commitment to the future with free admission.
