Bullring Ajalvir

Ajalvir has a portable bullring to celebrate the Bullfighting Fair of San Blas, after several years without organizing major celebrations. Jorge Arellano's company Loyjor is in charge of the organization with the collaboration of the local Town Hall. In addition, Ajalvir will experience its traditional running of the bulls and popular shows, all of them organized by Toros Valladar.

What to do during the Festival?
The Feasts of San Blas and the Candelaria Virgin are the main festivities of Ajalvir.
They are celebrated around February 3, although the day before, the feast of the Candelaria Virgin begin the festivities themselves with the proclamation of festivals and the celebration of the ceremony of the blessing of candles, children born in the year and the procession with the Virgin.
Are characteristic of Ajalvir, after the fireworks show, the so-called "fire bulls": metal carcasses with the figure of a bull that run through the Plaza de la Villa and surroundings with a lot of runners, releasing gunpowder and with a lot of public .
The festivities of San Blas also offer a varied program of children's shows, orchestras and dances at night, and gastronomic events among which the Popular Food that is celebrated in the Plaza de la Villa, the Tortilla Contest and the tasting of crumbs and porridge or bacon, organized by associations and Peñas de Ajalvir.
