History: In 1885 Mr. Juan Muriel formed this ranch, with cattle from Salas y Martínez, being inherited by his son Mr. Vicente, who redid it by eliminating the previous one and acquired others from the Count of Santa Coloma and Albaserrada. In 1949 her sons Mr. Juan and Mr. Lucio inherited her, don Juan adopting the announcement of "Juan Muriel de Olmedilla" with the original iron and badge. After the death of Mr. Juan Muriel, his heirs sold it in 1975 to Juan Pérez Tabernero Martín, who announced it as "Rio Grande". In 1990 it was acquired by El Cahoso, S.A., which formed it exclusively with cows and stallions of Mr. Alipio Pérez-Tabernero, Santa Coloma origin. In 1996, he acquired from Andrés Ramos 70 cows and three stallions, carrying this encaste completely independent of the one that already exists. In 1998, he acquired 25 cows and two stallions from Mr. Luis Algarra. That same year, he sells to livestock "El Cahoso" all the animals of Domecq origin, being currently formed exclusively with the animals of Santa Coloma origin.
