The novillero without horses from Madrid, Francisco Benito, suffered a serious mishap with a bull in Jerez del Marquesado, Granada, on September 11 of the 2023 season. This injury caused by the animal from the Castillo de la Reina ranch, forced him to drastically cut short his season in September, as he had to undergo surgery.
