Bullring Castellón

Castellon's Bullring was opened on July 2, 1887, constructed by D. Manuel Montesinos Alardins, for the owners: D. Hipólito Fabra, D. Joaquín Calduch, D. Juan Fabregat, D. Joaquín Fabregat, D. Luciano Ferrer and Mr. José Ripollés. The sculptor D. José Viciano Martí Medallion in bronze that highlights the head of a bull for the main façade, which built the statue de el Rey Don Jaime de Castellón. La first Bullfight was held on July 3, 1887, with bulls of the livestock of the Duque of Veragua, to the Kings "Lagartijo" and "Frascuelo" bullfighting, with a full up to the flags, that day was a big capital Castellón on day of bulls.

What to do in the “Magdalena” festivity? 5 wonderful days celebrating The “Fiestas de la Magdalena”, along the week, numerous events are held:

• Mascletá (firecracker barrages), at 14:00 in the Plaza of the First Moli.

• Castles of fires (fireworks), start at around 23:00, from Pau Gumbau area, northeast of the city.

• Bullfighting from the Bullring of Castellón.

• The “Magic night” with a correfuegos show

• Child Fair: Situated in the grounds of fairs and markets.

• The alternative fair, exhibition from Thursday in the gardens of the Auditorium.

• Free Music concerts: in the concert hall, along the Avenida del Mar and Ronda Este, great   performance of national singers. Monday to Saturday, around midnight.

What do you need to know before going to the bullfights at Castellón?
