The Feria de Begoña 2025 kicks off on August 13th: youth, emotion and art in El Bibio
The Feria Taurina de Nuestra Señora de Begoña 2025 opens its doors on Wednesday 13th August with a line-up that promises strong emotions in the bullring of El Bibio, Gijón. In a city that is intensely experiencing its summer festivities, this bullfighting day is a unique opportunity for tourists and visitors to discover one of Spain's most exciting cultural traditions: bullfighting.
The inaugural event will be a bullfight with picadors with bulls from La Cercada, one of the most promising on the current bullfighting scene. In front of these young bulls will be three young names who are giving a lot to talk about at the beginning of the season: El Mene, Tomás Bastos and Olga Casado. Courage, freshness and the desire to succeed define this trio who are looking to make their way among the greats, in an afternoon that could mark a before and after in their careers.
The event is part of a top-class fair, framed within Gijón's patron saint festivities, and is ideal for those who visit the city in summer and wish to live an authentic, exciting and art-filled experience.
