The old Bullring

The first Bullring of Happy Sight was inaugurated on August 13th, 1882, under the direction of the architect D. Sabino Goikoetxea Etxebarria, with an appraisal of 12.394 seats. The matadors who inaugurated this Plaza were Manuel Fuentes "Bocanegra", Jose Lara "Chicorro" and Fernando Gómez " Cocky Boy " with Concha's beasts and Saw. In it 8s3 years " of life " there were celebrated a total of 1.817 feasts until in the dawn from September 4 to September 5 of 1.961, after a cattle in which they acted Rafael Chacarte, J. M. The New Bullrring

The current Bullring of Happy Sight was inaugurated on June 19th, 1962, 9 months and 15 days after the fire that destroyed the Old Plaza. The architect who designed it was D. Luís of Ghana and Holes with the collaboration of the Excmo. Town hall of Bilbao, the Excma. County council of Biscay and the Official Chamber of Trade, Industry and Navigation of Bilbao. Nowadays Martin Agüero has an appraisal of 14.725 spectators.
