Madrid, February 15, 2024, Borja Jiménez has been awarded, this Wednesday, by the peña "Las Meninas de España" in a ceremony held at the Wellington Hotel. The bullfighter from Espartinas collected the award for "Triunfador de la Feria de Otoño 2023" after his historic afternoon of three ears in the capital to the bullfight of Victorino Martín. Jiménez thanked, when collecting the award, this bullfighting peña for its "tireless work of love for the Fiesta".

Last season, Jiménez made the paseíllo on three occasions in Las Ventas: the confirmation of alternative in April, the afternoon of July 16 in which he gave a return to the ring and the three ears to the bullfight of Victorino Martín in the Feria de Otoño (Autumn Fair). To these afternoons were added others such as the great image he gave with the bullfight of José Escolar in Pamplona, his important passage through the Chenel Cup, the great performance with the bullfight of Palha in Zaragoza or the closing of the season with an ear in the charity festival of La Maestranza.

It should be noted that a bullfighter from Seville had not cut three ears in the same afternoon in Madrid since 1976, the last of the Puertas Grandes de Las Ventas of Paco Camino with a bullfight of Baltasar Ibán.

The event was attended by the Infanta Elena and Fernando Adrián, Victorino Martín, Pedro Trapote and Maximino Pérez also received awards.
