El Puerto de Santa María began its bullfighting season this Saturday with a bullfight without horses and will last until August 15.
But the main attraction and the most expected poster will arrive on August 6 with a bullfight of Núñez del Cuvillo for the bullfighters Morante de La Puebla, Jose María Manzanares and Ginés Marín.
The young man from Extremadura (although born in Jerez) arrives as a flamboyant winner of San Isidro and San Fermin and after scoring in places like Soria, Valencia or Roquetas. It seems that there is no one who can stop Ginés Marín and, without a doubt, his appointment in El Puerto has all the elements to become another triumph.
Manzanares is on a string of triumphs; he has been on the shoulders in the fairs of Alicante, Valencia or Roquetas and the fans of the Cadiz town are anxiously waiting for another Puerta Grande to add.
And Morante, the genius of Morante, will the 6th be the day? Will the elves come down to El Puerto? The only way to find out is to attend.
