Presentation of the Pilar Fair de Zaragoza 2017, the last great cycle of the season.

The series maintains its structure with six bullfights, one of rejones and two novilladas. It mixes in its combinations the figures, two alternatives and the young protagonists of the season who have earned their presence in La Misericordia.

Convocation

The meeting with the Aragonese media was attended by the businessmen Nacho Lloret and Enrique Patón and for the first time the Vice-president of the Diputación de Zaragoza, Mr. Martín Llanas, attended this presentation.
Nacho Lloret wanted to emphasize the great commitment to youth and what Zaragoza means for bullfighting: "It is the Fair where all the bullfighting competitions that exist come together. In no other bullring in the world are so many celebrations held in nine days, including days in which there are four celebrations in La Misericordia. Last year there was a day in which the bullring was filled three times, this only happens in Zaragoza".

In reference to the bullfighters of the land, Nacho Lloret, spoke of the challenge of doubling the young Aragonese with greater projection as is the novillero Jorge Isiegas. Another of the novelties he talked about is that on October 14 the Corrida de la Prensa (Press Bullfight) will be recovered.

International presence

A Feria del Pilar with a clear international character, since it counts with the presence of bullfighters from several nationalities (Spain, France, Peru, Venezuela and Mexico). This diversity of nationalities reflects the union of bullfighting countries in a bullring and Zaragoza will be more than ever in 2017, the Pillar of Bullfighting.
That is the slogan of the advertising campaign that once again consists of vindicating the values of bullfighting when we are receiving continuous attacks from the anti-bullfighting and political system. Therefore, unity is strength and the union of all bullfighting will be the salvation of our art. The poster, photographed by Jose Ramon Lozano, shows several united hands that show the support and the joint fight.
