An afternoon that goes beyond bullfighting

Toledo will host one of the most special events of the season with the celebration of its traditional charity bullfight. The bullring will open its doors on 28 March for an occasion that transcends entertainment, becoming a powerful act of social commitment and support for medical research.

Álvaro Lorenzo will be the undisputed protagonist. The matador, born in the historic city, has chosen to take on six bulls alone in a day full of symbolism. The event also arrives at a key moment in his career, as 2026 marks the tenth anniversary of his alternativa, adding an emotional dimension to his return to the Toledo arena.

Six breeders, six different stories in the ring

The appeal of the event is enhanced by the presence of six renowned breeding ranches within modern Spanish bullfighting. Miura, Victorino Martín, Victoriano del Río, Garcigrande, Alcurrucén and El Freixo will bring a variety of bloodlines and styles, shaping a bullfight that promises diversity and excitement with every bull.

This unique combination of breeders turns the corrida into a distinctive experience for spectators, offering a dynamic and ever-changing afternoon where each appearance in the ring presents a new challenge for the matador.

A bullfight with a charitable spirit

The charitable purpose lies at the heart of the event. All proceeds will be donated to the Foundation of the National Spinal Cord Injury Hospital of Toledo, an internationally recognised institution dedicated to research and treatment of spinal injuries.

In this way, bullfighting once again demonstrates its ability to support meaningful social causes, bringing together tradition, culture and solidarity in a single day.

A poster with its own identity

The official artwork for the event, created by designer Iván Estupiñá, captures the intensity of the challenge embraced by Lorenzo. Developed in close collaboration with the matador himself, the visual concept symbolises both the responsibility and the human dimension behind this special occasion.

Tickets now available and official presentation coming soon

Tickets are already available at servitoro.com, where fans can purchase their seats online with a €4 reduction in management fees.

An official presentation of the event will take place in the coming days, offering further details about this charity bullfight. At the same time, both the organising company and Álvaro Lorenzo will reveal the selected bulls through social media, giving fans a closer look at the preparations leading up to one of the most anticipated afternoons of the bullfighting calendar.
