On Sunday 26 July at 7.00 pm, the 17th Espiga de Plata Novice Bullfighting Competition gets underway in Calasparra as part of the festivities in honour of Saints Abdon and Sennen. Young bulls from Nazario Ibáñez will be fought by Pedro de la Hermosa, Jaime Torija, Jesús Montiel, Ruiz de Palazón, Alejandro Chávarri and Óscar Campos, six promising young bullfighters seeking to make their mark.
