Biography

Darío Romero is one of the emerging names within the bullfighting scene in Extremadura. Trained at the Badajoz Provincial Bullfighting School, his development as a novillero has been consistent, particularly during his early stage without picadors.

During the 2023 season, Romero took part in 11 events, earning a total of 17 trophies, figures that highlight his ability to connect with the crowd. In 2024, he took a significant step forward, performing in 24 events and collecting 33 trophies, while also being named winner of the “Oportunidad Taurina” competition.

The year 2025 marked a turning point in his career. His inclusion in the Extremadura Circuit brought him into the spotlight among fans and professionals alike. That same year, he made his debut with picadors in Casar de Cáceres, a key moment in his career. In this debut, he delivered a strong performance, standing out both with the banderillas and with the muleta, showing control and well-structured passages. A decisive final sword thrust earned him two ears and confirmed his growing potential.

Throughout his early appearances with picadors, Romero has demonstrated clear technical progression and a determined attitude, capable of overcoming challenges even when the bulls have offered limited opportunities.
