Tarazona Unveils a 2026 San Atilano Fair Combining Star Matadors, Young Talent and a Commitment to the Future
Tarazona has officially announced the line-up for its 2026 San Atilano Bullfighting Fair, a festival set to once again establish the Zaragoza town as one of the leading bullfighting destinations at the end of the summer. From 28 to 30 August, the bullring will host a programme that combines established stars, promising young talent and events dedicated to developing the next generation of bullfighters.
The line-up was officially presented by Toros Tarazona, managed by Juan Vera and Ignacio Ríos, during an event held at the town's bullring and hosted by bullfighting journalist Isabel Sauco. The presentation was attended by local authorities and Aragonese matador Aarón Palacio, one of the fair's headline names.
Four Events Make Up an Attractive Season Ticket
This year's fair will consist of two bullfights, one novillada with picadors and one novillada without picadors, offering a balanced programme that combines variety with a strong commitment to promoting young bullfighters while continuing to feature some of the sport's leading figures.
The headline event will take place on the closing day, when Juan Ortega, Roca Rey and Aarón Palacio will face bulls from the prestigious Jandilla ranch.
Experience and Spectacle Open the Fair
The opening bullfight will feature three matadors renowned for their different styles. Antonio Ferrera, El Fandi and Manuel Escribano will face bulls from Fuente Ymbro, promising an afternoon full of excitement, variety and spectacle.
The following day will be devoted to the novillada with picadors, showcasing several of the season's most promising young bullfighters.
Young Talent Takes Centre Stage Once Again
Tarazona's commitment to the future of bullfighting will also be reflected in the 4th "Ciudad de Tarazona" Bullfighting Competition (Bolsín Taurino), which will take place on the morning of 30 August.
Young bullfighters Manuel Domínguez, Diego Tebas, Samuel Montero, Óscar Vicente and Jesús Millán will face novillos from El Taramal, with the collaboration of the Peña Taurina Moncayo.
