The La Corredera Bullring hosted the official presentation of the 2026 Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Bullfighting Fair, a festival set to reinforce Colmenar Viejo's reputation as one of the most important venues in the Madrid bullfighting calendar.

Running from 29 August to 2 September, the fair will comprise five bullfighting events: three bullfights, one novillada with picadors and one novillada without picadors. The programme has been designed to combine some of the sport's biggest names with the most promising young talents.

A Fair Designed for Every Bullfighting Enthusiast

The presentation was hosted by journalist Javier Fernández Mardomingo and attended by Carlos Blázquez, Mayor of Colmenar Viejo; Felipe Mansilla, Councillor for Bullfighting Affairs; and Carlos Zúñiga, the bullring's promoter.

During the event, local authorities reaffirmed their commitment to preserving bullfighting as one of the municipality's most deeply rooted traditions. The council highlighted its continued support for the sector and its determination to safeguard its future.

The Councillor for Bullfighting Affairs also praised the balance achieved in this year's line-up, bringing together established matadors, emerging talent and representatives of local livestock breeders and professionals closely linked to Colmenar Viejo.

A Season Ticket Featuring Leading Performers

The organising company highlighted that several of the matadors appearing this year enjoyed major successes at the latest San Isidro Fair, alongside other leading names who have excelled throughout the current season.

The season ticket includes Alejandro Talavante, Diego Urdiales, Román, David de Miranda, Juan Ortega, Pablo Aguado, Miguel de Pablo, Clemente and Víctor Hernández, offering spectators an appealing mix of experience, personality and fresh talent.

Prestigious Breeders and New Blood

The livestock selection combines renowned breeders with exciting newcomers. Bulls will come from Núñez del Cuvillo, Juan Manuel Criado, Manuel Assunçao Coimbra, Blohorn, together with the local ranch of Ginés Bartolomé.
